Catherine's presentation was clear and thought-provoking. The session was tailored towards the individual circumstances of our school and promoted an unexpected emotional response amongst staff, as we were challenged to consider a picture far bigger than attainment and progress. After an engaging session, we were left with a clear understanding of the mission of a Catholic school, alongside a sense of personal responsibility to ensure delivery, irrespective of individual beliefs.

I first met Catherine Herring during my induction at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College, Leeds. The induction involved meeting several key people from across the college and listening to their presentations with respect to their areas of specialism. It was Catherine’s presentation that had the biggest impact on me that day and is the one which I remember most clearly today. Catherine helped me to understand what it was to be part of the staff at the college and the ethos that I would be contributing to. More so, Catherine did it in such a way that immediately made me feel that I was in the right place.
When Catherine speaks, people listen. When providing input to colleagues she speaks concisely with a purpose and clarity that ensures her messaging is clear. She has an excellent awareness of her target audience in ensuring an appropriate pitch and holds attention with a quiet authority underpinned by her excellent knowledge of the topic.
Catherine’s main asset as a speaker is that when she presents, I want to listen and I know this to be true of other colleagues. I always trust that the information will be interesting, relevant and delivered with a healthy dose of wisdom. I believe that Catherine possesses a proficiency for public speaking and training that can benefit many other audiences in the education sector and beyond.

I thought your presentation last night was superb. It was inspiring, inclusive and very clear, as well as being very genuine and heart-felt. The timing of it was completely on-point, too.
