Fr joseph gulliford

Fr Joseph is a Priest of the Archdiocese of Southwark, based in South London. He is a cradle Catholic who grew up in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement and he owes much of his initial formation in faith to the Celebrate Conference and the Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism. Fr Joseph spent a year with Sion doing School Missions before his University years. 

At 16, he started learning the guitar and consequently began to lead the music ministry at the Youth Mass in his local Parish. From there he has gone on to lead worship at a number of events and conferences. 

In 2016, Fr Joseph entered Seminary, answering the call from the Lord to become a Priest. He was ordained in 2022 by Archbishop John Wilson. He has a passion for praising God and has been writing songs for many years, releasing his first EP, ‘As For Me & My House’, in 2021 and now his first Album, ‘Seek You First’, in February 2024. For him, praising and worshipping God through music is something so natural to being a Priest – for it is like an overflow of the praise of God so intimately and supremely expressed in the Holy Mass.
